Bill Noland |
An avid hunter and fisherman, he feels fortunate to have lived his entire life in Colorado, renowned for its Mule Deer and Elk. Takin every opportunity to be in the mountains and along the waters edge, he has added to his knowledge of the subjects he sculpts. In 1966, Bill married Marilyn, whom he met while both were still in high school. That year, he was drafted into the Army, and during his two years active duty, served in Viet Nam. After leaving the military, he and Marilyn moved back to Colorado where they raised two sons. His work is realistic, anatomically accurate, and correct range of movement is a must. To achieve this, he has an extensive reference library, which he adds to regularly. Several galleries carry Bill's work, which has won several awards in various competitions. He also participates annually in The Sculpture Invitational - Loveland, Apples Aspen, Art- Cedaredge, and Art on the Corner - Grand Junction. |
