"The Buck Stops Here" Original Colored Pencil on Cedar FS 44 X 26
White-tailed deer, the smallest members of the North American deer family, are found from southern Canada to South America. In the heat of the summer they typically inhabit fields and meadows. During the winter they generally keep to forests. Gabrielle sat in a blind for two days to capture this buck. The background was created from photos of parts of the Texas hill country.
