"Wing And A Prayer" - King Fisher Original Oil Painting on Board FS 22 X 28
The Belted Kingfisher may be seen perched on a high snag, or posts near streams, lakes bays or coasts. It forages by plunging headfirst into water capturing fish near the surface with it's bill. They typically feed on small fish and crayfish, frogs, tadpoles and aquatic insects. Gabrielle photographed this Kingfisher drying its wings after a dive.
