In Hwange Park in Zimbabwe we observed many baboons. Our guide brought to light that we are so closely related that if we were to be lost and not know what to eat, we could survive by eating anything that a baboon eats. Someone brought up the observation that the baboons were eating termites. Oh yes, we could too. I suddenly had a problem with my camera. | | | "Free Spirit" giraffe 10 1/2"H,5"W,8 1/2"L Limited Edition of 25 | There is nothing more exciting than watching a wild animal in its own environment. Zoos can provide some wonderful viewing as well and if one spends the time one can be rewarded with some wonderful behaviors. In Denver, two young giraffes were sparked by an approaching storm and started running and kicking around their enclosure. They were having an amazing amount of fun and I was treated to some wonderful movement studies.
