Simon.T.Blackshaw`s fascination for nature and wildlife have influenced his whole life. Born in Warwick, England in 1957, he enjoyed an English public school education and further studies in arboriculture. Creativity was always a big issue and Portrait and Wildlife painting soon became a full-time activity. After moving to the Netherlands in his early twenties, meeting his wife and starting a family, Simon became a Taxidermist at the University Museum in Utrecht. His work there began to conscentrate more and more on the medical aspects of human anatomy, restoring old collections and creating scientific models for exhibition`s. However his driving urge to create in many different media, finally convinced him to branch out and start his own company in the south of Holland. Sculpture, painting, woodcarving and taxidermy have earned him International success and notoriaty and his works can be seen in many Musea, visitors centers and private collections around the world. Simon sees the "Champions Trout Collection " as a perfect opportunity to give something back to the breathtaking natural beauty and diversity that surrounds us all and which has stimulated him so much in his dedication to the respectfull interpretation of nature`s magnificence.
